In Fukui Prefecture, the digging of dinosaur fossils began in 1989. Numerous dinosaur fossils have been excavated since then, and the Dinosaur Museum opened in 2000.
In addition to the dinosaur fossil specimens, there are moving dinosaur robots, exhibits on the history of the Earth, and displays of geological strata and ores. While it’s a recommended place for families with children, it is also enjoyable for adults.
For the permanent exhibitions, a quick visit takes about an hour, while a more detailed exploration takes about 2 to 3 hours.
